Description

Creamy burrata topped with warm roasted cherry tomatoes, hot honey, balsamic glaze, fresh basil, and toasted pine nuts. This easy Italian-inspired appetizer is perfect for entertaining or sharing with crusty bread.

Ingredients

2 balls (8 oz / 225 g) burrata cheese

2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp sea salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 cup hot honey

1 tbsp balsamic glaze

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves

2 tbsp toasted pine nuts (optional)

Crusty baguette or toasted sourdough, for serving

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Combine the cherry tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, Italian seasoning, sea salt, and black pepper in a baking dish. Toss well to coat.

3. Roast for 18 to 20 minutes until the tomatoes are softened and lightly caramelized.

4. Remove from the oven and let the tomatoes cool for 2 minutes.

5. Arrange the burrata cheese on a serving platter or shallow bowl.

6. Spoon the warm roasted tomatoes and their juices around and over the burrata.

7. Drizzle the hot honey evenly over the tomatoes and cheese.

8. Finish with the balsamic glaze, fresh basil leaves, and toasted pine nuts if using.

9. Serve immediately with warm crusty baguette or toasted sourdough for dipping.

Notes

Let the burrata sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes before serving for the creamiest texture.

Roast the tomatoes until lightly caramelized for the sweetest flavor.

Fresh basil should be added just before serving to keep it vibrant.

Swap burrata with fresh mozzarella if needed.

Leftover roasted tomatoes can be refrigerated for up to 4 days.
