Why Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls Are So Popular
Dessert recipes come and go, but every once in a while, one captures everyone’s attention. Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls have quickly become a favorite because they bring together two beloved desserts into one irresistible package.
A Perfect Combination of Crispy and Creamy
One of the biggest reasons these dessert eggrolls are so satisfying is the incredible contrast in texture. As soon as you bite through the crispy, golden wrapper, you’re greeted with a smooth cheesecake filling that’s rich without feeling too heavy.
Fresh strawberries add bursts of natural sweetness and a slight tartness that perfectly balances the creamy filling. Then comes the cinnamon-sugar coating, adding a warm, sweet finish that makes every bite even more enjoyable.
The layers of texture work together beautifully:
| Texture | Ingredient | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Crispy | Fried eggroll wrapper | Crunchy exterior |
| Creamy | Sweetened cream cheese | Smooth filling |
| Juicy | Fresh strawberries | Bright fruity flavor |
| Sweet | Cinnamon sugar | Delicious finishing touch |
It’s this combination that keeps people reaching for another eggroll before they’ve even finished the first.
Perfect for Every Occasion
Another reason these Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls have become such a favorite is their versatility.
They’re perfect for:
- Birthday celebrations
- Summer cookouts
- Holiday dessert tables
- Valentine’s Day treats
- Family movie nights
- Baby showers
- Potluck dinners
- Weekend baking projects
You’ll wanna keep this recipe handy because it fits nearly every occasion. They’re easy to transport, simple to prepare ahead of time, and always disappear quickly once served.
And here’s the thing—kids absolutely love them, while adults appreciate the nostalgic cheesecake flavor wrapped inside a fun, crispy shell. That makes this one of those rare desserts that truly appeals to everyone.
The beautiful presentation doesn’t hurt either. Dusted with powdered sugar and served alongside whipped cream and fresh strawberries, these eggrolls look as impressive as they taste, making them worthy of any dessert table.
The Flavor That Makes Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls Irresistible
If you’ve ever wished you could combine the richness of cheesecake with the crunch of a fried pastry, this recipe delivers exactly that. Every bite is layered with flavors that complement one another without becoming overly sweet.
The cream cheese filling is silky and lightly tangy, while the powdered sugar adds just enough sweetness to create that classic cheesecake taste. Fresh strawberries bring a naturally juicy freshness that keeps the filling bright and balanced. Once everything is wrapped inside a crisp eggroll wrapper and coated with warm cinnamon sugar, the result feels both comforting and exciting.
One of my favorite moments is serving these while they’re still warm. You break one open, and the creamy filling slowly peeks through the crispy shell. Add a drizzle of strawberry sauce and a little whipped cream, and suddenly you’ve got a dessert that looks like it came straight from a restaurant.
Another thing I love is how customizable they are. Some days I add extra strawberries for a fruitier filling. Other times I’ll serve them with vanilla ice cream because, honestly, warm and cold together never disappoint.
These Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls prove that simple ingredients can create something truly memorable.
Benefits of Making Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls at Home
Homemade desserts have a special charm that store-bought treats simply can’t match. Besides tasting fresher, they allow you to control the ingredients, adjust the sweetness, and create a dessert that’s made exactly the way you like it.
Here are some of the biggest advantages of making these cheesecake eggrolls yourself.
Fresh Ingredients Make All the Difference
Using fresh strawberries instead of canned pie filling gives the dessert a vibrant flavor that’s naturally sweet with just a hint of tartness. The berries also add moisture without making the filling overly heavy.
Because you’re preparing everything from scratch, you know exactly what’s going into each bite. There’s no need for unnecessary preservatives or artificial flavors when fresh ingredients already taste incredible.
Surprisingly Easy to Prepare
At first glance, wrapping and frying dessert eggrolls might seem complicated, but it’s actually a straightforward process. Once you’ve assembled the first couple of eggrolls, the rest come together quickly.
Here’s a quick overview of what makes this recipe beginner-friendly:
| Benefit | Why You’ll Love It |
|---|---|
| Easy ingredients | Everything is commonly found in most grocery stores. |
| Quick preparation | The filling comes together in just a few minutes. |
| Beginner-friendly | Folding the wrappers is simple after a little practice. |
| Crowd-pleaser | Great for parties, holidays, and family gatherings. |
| Easy customization | Add chocolate, different fruits, or flavored sauces. |
Great for Make-Ahead Desserts
One of the best parts about this recipe is that you don’t have to prepare everything at the last minute.
You can assemble the eggrolls several hours in advance and keep them refrigerated until you’re ready to fry them. This makes entertaining much less stressful because most of the work is already finished.
If you’re planning a party, simply fry them just before serving. Your guests will enjoy the crispy exterior and warm, creamy filling at their absolute best.
Endless Serving Possibilities
These Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls are delicious on their own, but they’re also the perfect base for creative dessert presentations.
Try serving them with:

By making these Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls at home, you’re not just preparing dessert—you’re creating a fun experience that’s sure to become a favorite tradition for family and friends.
Ingredients for Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls
One of the reasons this recipe is so popular is that it uses simple, everyday ingredients that come together to create an extraordinary dessert. Each ingredient has an important role, whether it’s adding creaminess, sweetness, or that irresistible crispy texture.
Using fresh, high-quality ingredients makes a noticeable difference in both flavor and texture. Fresh strawberries provide natural sweetness and vibrant color, while full-fat cream cheese creates the rich cheesecake filling everyone loves.
Cheesecake Filling Ingredients
The filling is the heart of these Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls. It’s smooth, creamy, lightly sweetened, and packed with fresh strawberry flavor.
| Ingredient | Amount | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Cream cheese, softened | 8 oz (225 g) | Creates the rich and creamy cheesecake base |
| Powdered sugar | ⅓ cup | Sweetens the filling while keeping it silky smooth |
| Vanilla extract | 1 teaspoon | Adds warm, classic dessert flavor |
| Fresh lemon juice | 1 teaspoon | Balances the sweetness with a subtle tang |
| Fresh strawberries, finely diced | 1 cup | Adds juicy bursts of fresh fruit flavor |
Helpful tip: Make sure your cream cheese is fully softened before mixing. Cold cream cheese often leaves small lumps that are difficult to remove.
Eggroll Wrapper Ingredients
The crispy shell transforms an ordinary cheesecake filling into a dessert that’s crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside.
| Ingredient | Amount | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Eggroll wrappers | 10 | Forms the crispy outer shell |
| All-purpose flour | 1 tablespoon | Used to make the sealing paste |
| Water | 2 tablespoons | Combines with flour to seal the wrappers |
| Vegetable oil | For frying | Creates a crisp, golden-brown exterior |

You’ll wanna keep the wrappers covered with a damp towel while assembling. They tend to dry out quickly, making them more likely to crack during rolling.
Cinnamon Sugar Coating
This simple coating is what gives the finished eggrolls their bakery-style finish.
| Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
| Granulated sugar | ½ cup |
| Ground cinnamon | 1 teaspoon |
Roll the eggrolls in this mixture while they’re still warm so the coating sticks beautifully.
Optional Toppings
Although these Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls are delicious on their own, a few finishing touches make them even more impressive.
Some favorite toppings include:
- Powdered sugar
- Homemade strawberry sauce
- Fresh whipped cream
- Fresh strawberry slices
- Vanilla ice cream
- Melted white chocolate
- Chocolate syrup
- Caramel sauce
- Crushed graham crackers
- Mint leaves for garnish
Mix and match your favorites depending on the occasion. A drizzle of strawberry sauce paired with whipped cream creates a dessert that’s elegant enough for holidays yet simple enough for a weekend treat.
Kitchen Tools You’ll Need
The good news? You don’t need any fancy equipment to make these Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls. Most of the tools are probably already sitting in your kitchen.
Here’s everything you’ll need before getting started.
| Kitchen Tool | Why It’s Needed |
|---|---|
| Mixing bowl | For preparing the cheesecake filling |
| Electric hand mixer or whisk | Blends the filling until smooth |
| Measuring cups and spoons | Ensures accurate ingredient amounts |
| Small bowl | Mixes the flour-and-water sealing paste |
| Cutting board | Dices the fresh strawberries |
| Sharp knife | Cuts strawberries into small pieces |
| Spoon or cookie scoop | Portions the filling evenly |
| Deep frying pot or Dutch oven | Safely fries the eggrolls |
| Kitchen thermometer | Keeps oil at 350°F (175°C) |
| Tongs | Turns the eggrolls while frying |
| Paper towels | Drains excess oil |
| Large plate or shallow bowl | Holds the cinnamon-sugar coating |
Why an Oil Thermometer Matters
This is the part where I always remind people not to skip the thermometer.
Oil that’s too hot browns the wrappers before the filling has time to warm through. Oil that’s too cool allows the wrappers to absorb excess oil, leaving them greasy instead of crispy.
Maintaining a steady temperature of 350°F (175°C) produces evenly cooked Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls with a crisp exterior and a perfectly creamy center.
A little patience here really pays off. Once you find that ideal temperature, every batch comes out beautifully golden and delicious.
How to Make Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls Step by Step
Now comes the exciting part—bringing everything together. Don’t let the crispy exterior fool you; these Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls are surprisingly easy to prepare.
Follow these simple steps for perfectly golden, creamy dessert eggrolls every time.
Step 1: Prepare the Cheesecake Filling
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and fresh lemon juice.
Using a hand mixer, beat everything together until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
Next, gently fold in the finely diced strawberries using a spatula.
The filling should be thick, smooth, and evenly combined without crushing the strawberries.
Pro Tip: Chill the filling for about 20 minutes if it feels too soft. A slightly firmer filling is much easier to wrap.
Step 2: Make the Sealing Paste
In a small bowl, stir together the flour and water until a smooth paste forms.
This simple mixture acts like edible glue, helping keep the wrappers tightly sealed during frying.
Step 3: Fill the Eggroll Wrappers
Lay one eggroll wrapper on a clean surface so that one corner points toward you like a diamond.
Place approximately 2 tablespoons of cheesecake filling in the center.
Avoid overfilling. It can make rolling difficult and may cause the filling to leak while frying.
Step 4: Roll the Eggrolls
Fold the bottom corner over the filling.
Fold both side corners toward the center.
Roll tightly toward the top corner.
Brush the final corner with the flour paste and press gently to seal.
Repeat with the remaining wrappers until all the filling has been used.
Step 5: Heat the Oil
Pour about 2 to 3 inches of vegetable oil into a deep pot or Dutch oven.
Heat the oil to 350°F (175°C).
Using a kitchen thermometer helps maintain the ideal frying temperature for evenly cooked Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls.
Step 6: Fry Until Golden
Carefully place several eggrolls into the hot oil, leaving enough room between them.
Fry for 2 to 3 minutes per side, turning occasionally until every side is evenly golden brown and crisp.
Avoid overcrowding the pan, as this lowers the oil temperature and can lead to greasy eggrolls.
Transfer the cooked eggrolls to a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.
Step 7: Coat with Cinnamon Sugar
While the eggrolls are still warm, gently roll each one in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
The residual heat helps the coating stick evenly, creating a sweet, slightly crunchy finish.
Step 8: Garnish and Serve
Arrange the warm Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls on a serving platter.
Finish with:
- A dusting of powdered sugar
- Fresh strawberry slices
- Strawberry sauce for dipping
- Whipped cream
- Optional vanilla ice cream
Serve immediately while the wrappers are crisp and the cheesecake filling is warm and creamy. That’s when these dessert eggrolls truly shine and deliver the perfect combination of crunch, sweetness, and rich cheesecake flavor.

What to Serve with Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls
These Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls are absolutely delicious on their own, but pairing them with the right sides and toppings takes them to another level. Whether you’re serving them as a casual family dessert or presenting them at a holiday gathering, a few thoughtful additions can make every plate look and taste even more special.
I usually set out a small dessert bar with a few dipping sauces and toppings. It lets everyone customize their own eggrolls, and it’s always a hit. Kids love adding extra whipped cream, while adults often reach for fresh berries or a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
Delicious Dipping Sauces
The creamy cheesecake filling pairs beautifully with sweet sauces that complement the strawberries.
Some of the best choices include:
- Homemade strawberry sauce
- Raspberry coulis
- Melted white chocolate
- Dark chocolate ganache
- Salted caramel sauce
- Vanilla custard
- Cream cheese glaze
- Lemon curd
- Berry compote
- Chocolate hazelnut spread
Offering two or three dipping sauces gives guests plenty of options without overwhelming the dessert.
Ice Cream Pairings
Warm eggrolls and cold ice cream are one of those combinations that never get old.
| Ice Cream Flavor | Why It Works |
|---|---|
| Vanilla Bean | A classic pairing that lets the cheesecake flavor shine |
| Strawberry | Doubles the fresh berry flavor |
| Cheesecake | Creates an extra creamy dessert experience |
| Chocolate | Adds richness without overpowering the fruit |
| Cookies and Cream | Introduces a fun crunchy element |
| Lemon | Brightens the strawberry filling |
| Salted Caramel | Balances sweetness with a hint of salt |
Serve the eggrolls immediately after frying so the contrast between the crispy shell and cold ice cream is at its best.
Fresh Fruit Garnishes
Fresh fruit adds color, freshness, and a lighter finish to this rich dessert.
Try decorating the plate with:
- Sliced strawberries
- Fresh raspberries
- Blueberries
- Blackberries
- Mint leaves
- Lemon zest
- Edible flowers for special occasions
These simple garnishes make the presentation look elegant without requiring much extra effort.
Expert Tips for Perfect Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls
Even though this recipe is beginner-friendly, a few small techniques can make a big difference in the final result.
Here are the tips I always keep in mind whenever I make Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls.
Use Fully Softened Cream Cheese
Cold cream cheese doesn’t blend smoothly and often leaves lumps in the filling.
Take it out of the refrigerator about 30 to 45 minutes before mixing. A smooth filling creates a much better texture inside the crispy wrapper.
Dice the Strawberries Finely
Large strawberry chunks can tear the wrappers while rolling and make sealing more difficult.
Small, evenly diced strawberries distribute throughout the filling and make every bite consistent.
Don’t Overfill the Wrappers
It’s tempting to add more filling, but less really is more here.
Around 2 tablespoons per wrapper provides plenty of creamy cheesecake while allowing the eggroll to stay tightly sealed during frying.
Seal Every Edge Carefully
Brush enough flour paste around the final corner and press firmly to close the wrapper.
A secure seal prevents the filling from leaking into the hot oil.
Maintain the Correct Oil Temperature
This may be the single most important tip.
Keep the oil at 350°F (175°C) throughout the cooking process.
If the oil becomes too cool:
- The wrappers absorb excess oil.
- The eggrolls become greasy.
- They lose their crisp texture.
If the oil gets too hot:
- The outside browns too quickly.
- The filling may remain cool.
- The wrappers can burn before the center is heated.
Using a kitchen thermometer removes the guesswork.
Fry in Small Batches
Avoid overcrowding the pot.
Cooking only three or four eggrolls at a time helps maintain a steady oil temperature and produces evenly browned results.
Coat While They’re Still Warm
Roll each eggroll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture immediately after frying.
The warmth helps the sugar adhere evenly, creating that beautiful bakery-style finish.
Serve Immediately
These Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls are at their absolute best within the first few minutes after cooking.
The wrapper stays wonderfully crisp, while the cheesecake filling remains warm, creamy, and perfectly smooth.
Sure, leftovers are still tasty, but nothing compares to that first fresh bite right out of the fryer. It’s the kind of dessert that makes everyone reach for seconds before they’ve even finished the first one.

How to Store Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls
If you somehow end up with leftovers, don’t worry—these Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls store surprisingly well. While they’re at their crispiest fresh from the fryer, a few simple storage methods will help preserve their flavor and texture for another day.
Honestly, leftovers rarely last long in my house. Someone always sneaks one from the refrigerator for a late-night treat. And I can’t really blame them.
Refrigerating Leftovers
Allow the eggrolls to cool completely before storing them.
Place them in an airtight container, separating layers with parchment paper if necessary to prevent sticking.
| Storage Method | How Long |
|---|---|
| Room temperature | Up to 2 hours |
| Refrigerator | 3–4 days |
| Freezer | Up to 2 months |
Keeping them refrigerated helps maintain the freshness of the cream cheese filling while preventing excess moisture from affecting the wrappers.
Freezing for Later
These dessert eggrolls freeze beautifully, making them a fantastic make-ahead dessert.
To freeze cooked eggrolls:
- Let them cool completely.
- Arrange them in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Freeze for about one hour.
- Transfer them to a freezer-safe bag or airtight container.
- Label with the date.
Freezing them individually first prevents the eggrolls from sticking together.
You can also freeze the assembled, uncooked eggrolls. When you’re ready to enjoy them, fry them directly from frozen, adding an extra minute or two to the cooking time.
Reheating Tips
The goal is to restore the crispy exterior without overcooking the creamy filling.
| Method | Temperature | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Air Fryer | 350°F (175°C) | 3–5 minutes |
| Oven | 375°F (190°C) | 8–10 minutes |
| Toaster Oven | 375°F (190°C) | 6–8 minutes |
Avoid reheating them in the microwave whenever possible. While it warms the filling quickly, it softens the wrapper, causing it to lose that signature crunch.
If the microwave is your only option, heat them briefly and expect a softer texture.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I make Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls ahead of time?
Yes. You can assemble the eggrolls several hours in advance and store them in the refrigerator. Fry them just before serving for the crispiest texture.
Can I bake them instead of frying?
Absolutely. Brush the eggrolls lightly with oil or melted butter and bake them at 400°F (200°C) for about 15–18 minutes, turning them halfway through. While they won’t be quite as crispy as the fried version, they’ll still be delicious.
Can I cook them in an air fryer?
Yes. Arrange the eggrolls in a single layer, lightly spray them with cooking oil, and air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes, flipping them halfway through until they’re golden brown.
Can I use frozen strawberries?
Fresh strawberries are recommended because they contain less moisture. If you use frozen strawberries, thaw them completely and pat them dry with paper towels before folding them into the cheesecake filling.
Why did my eggrolls open while frying?
This usually happens when the wrappers aren’t sealed tightly enough or when they’re overfilled. Use the flour-and-water paste generously along the edges and avoid adding more than about two tablespoons of filling to each wrapper.
Can I use other fruits?
Definitely. Blueberries, raspberries, peaches, cherries, blackberries, or even diced mango all work well with the creamy cheesecake filling.
How do I keep the eggrolls crispy?
Serve them immediately after frying and place them on a wire rack or paper towels to drain excess oil. If you’re reheating leftovers, use an oven or air fryer instead of a microwave to help restore their crisp texture.
Conclusion
Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls are proof that simple ingredients can create an unforgettable dessert. With their crispy golden wrapper, rich cheesecake filling, bursts of fresh strawberries, and sweet cinnamon-sugar coating, every bite offers the perfect balance of texture and flavor.
Whether you’re preparing them for a family gathering, a holiday celebration, or simply treating yourself after a long day, this recipe is both approachable and impressive. It comes together with everyday ingredients, doesn’t require advanced baking skills, and delivers bakery-quality results right from your own kitchen.
Once you make these Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Eggrolls, don’t be surprised if they become one of your most requested desserts. They’re fun to prepare, easy to customize, and always disappear quickly from the serving platter.
